Yeoh Chen Chow

An angel investor

Yeoh Chen Chow was the co-founder of Fave, a next generation fintech loyalty platform in South East Asia which was acquired by Pine Labs in April 2021. He has previously served as Regional Operations Director for Groupon covering Asia Pacific (APAC).

Sam Shafie

Co-Founder & CEO, pitchIN

Sam is the CEO and Co-Founder of WatchTower and Friends.

Sam is also the CEO of pitchIN, Malaysia’s leading equity crowdfunding platform where we have helped more than 154 companies to raise more than RM280 Million to date. 

Prior to this, Sam spent a total of 15 years in the public sector. He started his career as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General Chambers and had stints in the Securities Commission of Malaysia and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. Sam is a law graduate from University Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Sam is also the founding committee member of MBAN, the national association of angel investors.

Kashminder Singh

CPO, Aerodyne

Kashminder is the co-founder of WatchTower and Friends (WTF) Accelerator.

He is also the co-founder of pitchIN and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). An entrepreneur for most of his working life, Kash previously was the founder and Managing Editor of MOBILE WORLD, a leading tech publication and co-founder of GoMobile, a ground-breaking event management that organised expo, conference and awards night.

He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Strategic Business School KL, in association with Strathclyde University and a Certificate in Training and Development from the Institute of Training and Development (ITD), UK.

Sam is the CEO and Co-Founder of pitchIN. pitchIN is a registered Recognised Market Operator (RMO) by the Securities Commission that offers an Equity Crowdfunding platform for companies to raise their funding and for the general investor community to invest.

Meling Mudin

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Payment Networks Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet)

Meling (Mel) is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Payment Networks Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet), providing overall oversight and governance on cybersecurity.  He leads a team focusing on cyber risk management, data security and protection, data privacy, awareness, governance, and compliance. He also leads the development of a new service for the financial industry.


Before PayNet, Mel served in leadership roles in EY and KPMG, providing cybersecurity advisory services across various sectors. He has over two decades of experience and holds CISSP and CCSP certifications.


Hardesh Singh 

Managing Partner, Bawatana

Hardesh is the Managing Partner at Bawatana, an early-stage investor in Malaysian startups, and the Accelerator Lead at Watchtower and Friends (WTF). He is also the founder/editor of Sustainability Matters, a sustainability and ESG-focused channel published by Digital News Asia. He bridges these two disciplines by investing in startups that will be well-placed to deliver on the promise of a sustainable future.  

Hardesh holds a Master in Sustainable Development Management from the Jeffrey Sachs Centre on Sustainable Development where he is currently pursuing his PhD.

Lavindar Singh is a visionary Techie and a leading advocate for the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) in the quest to create a sustainable environment for humans and wildlife to co-exist. With a deep understanding of the potential of AI and IoT technologies, Lavindar is working on revolutionizing the Ai and IoT industry to develop cutting-edge solutions from tackling human wildlife conflict to collecting data on environment and assisting with green building index. 

With over a decade of experience in IoT, Ai, Telecommunication and RnD, Lavindar Singh has been instrumental in deploying AI and IoT solutions to tackle the challenges faced by all of us. As the founder of Satok Bridge Digital Sdn Bhd, a pioneering technology firm, Lavindar is leading numerous projects across industries, empowering organizations to go digital to solve a problem. 

Lavindar's expertise lies in leveraging AI algorithms and IoT sensors to gather real-time data and understanding the patterns. By analyzing this data, he has developed innovative strategies that can be used to optimize our efforts.

Ken Lau

Programme Content Lead & Mentor to Startup Founders

Ken will coordinate the programme content and delivery. Ken serves as the Head of Growth for pitchIN. He was previously the Acceleration Director for Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), an entity established and supported by the government of Malaysia. He has guided and mentored more than 300 startups in terms of Startup Skill Guidance; initiated collaboration partnerships with Corporates and Investment Leads & Profiling; and served as Mentor-in-Residence for MaGIC’s Global Accelerator Programme (GAP). He has held senior positions at MYSALE group, ZALORA Malaysia, as well as the Management Consultancy role with Accenture.

Cynthia Chiam

Programme Coordinator and Mentor

Cynthia will oversee the programme rollout. She has extensive experience in working with entrepreneurs, executing programmes, developing content for various training and outreach programmes related to fundraising, equity crowdfunding and entrepreneur development.
