PITCHIN
pitchIN started its journey in crowdfunding, firstly as a reward crowdfunding platform in 2012. It holds records for projects that raised the most funds and for the most number of backers for a single project. It has successfully executed a slew of groundbreaking crowdfunding projects such as the first ever Indie festival in Penang, TAPAUfest, an on-demand movies Movie GoGo project, the first private-public crowdfunding collaboration exercise with the pitchIN-MaGIC Challenge, MDEC’s social project to assist the flood victims in East Malaysia, TeeSomethingNice, the tee-shirt project in celebration of Hari Malaysia and Merdeka 2014 and helped to secure a permanent place for Wok It, a mobile kitchen that serves quick and customised meals to raise finances to build their kitchen and to set up a permanent home.

What is TEGAS Pre-Accelerator Bootcamp?TEGAS Pre-Accelerator Bootcamp 2021 is a fully online acceleration programme designed to take early-stage startups from idea validation to the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) and a go-to-market strategy.

Who should apply for the programme?Anyone that has great ideas but does not know where to start, any startup or business that has already started but is faced with obstacles or anyone who is currently working on a project but finding it hard to make it financially independent.

What is the prerequisite to participate in the accelerator programme?There must be at least one Sarawakian founder/co-founder. The application will require a one (1) minute pitch video about your startup and your team. We also need information about your company profile. However, for those who are in the ideation stage, rest assured a proposal deck solution would suffice.

What type of teams are you looking for?We are looking for a strong team with entrepreneurship DNA who are willing to grow, with at least one (1) founder and no more than four (4) co-founders. Participation is open to all ages.

What is the objective of the programme?The bootcamp aims to look for potential participants with viable business ideas to be developed as a startup or an early stage startup who wants to bring their business to the next level; from validating ideas into creating a minimum viable product (MVP) and a go-to-market strategy.

What is the level of commitment required from startups?Startups must commit for the entire seven (7) days of the virtual accelerator and have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection of at least 5 Mbps.

What is the duration of the programme?The programme lasts about seven (4) days.

Is there going to be a Demo Day?Yes, towards the end of the programme, there will be an online Demo Day where you will pitch to different audiences and judges.
